And most products in the tech sphere don't last 27+ years. Eventually Marcus was going to burn out or need to move on, what happens with the game beyond that is out of everyone's control. The way I see it, we have the game he created, and if he was able to build a team good enough to keep the game going, then we're all going to be lucky to keep playing it. If not, the game will fade away like so many other things I liked twenty years ago that don't exist now. Right now I have OOTP 25 for as long as I find value in continuing to play it ... and I have a ton of respect for Marcus for what it took for him to build it.

If that's naive, fine ... but realistically, we've all gotten alot more out of this game than we had reason to expect.
