Wild, Cherry Meet in Match of Past Two Champions
The Wild Gatorclaws and Cherry Ghoulrillas are once again division champions and will meet for the right to claim the 2313 NWL title.
The Ghoulrillas are defending champions, defeating the Quantum Nukalurks in four games one season ago. Cherry has now made their NWL-record eighth Nuka Series. Cherry has won four, tied with Victory for most.
Wild took the championship two years ago, downing the Orange Tourists in seven games. This is only the second time in the Nuka Series in their history.
While the Gatorclaws have the lowest all-time winning percentage (.464), they have now surpassed Dark, which now owns the fewest Nuka Series appearances (1) and championships (0).
In the Amusement Park League, it will be a battle of the "Nuka" as the Nuka Jolly Elves (Victory) will face off with the Nuka Plant Electrics (Dark). The Elves were the Bradberton Disciples before this season. They have won four previous championships in the APL. For the Electrics, they were the Dry Rock Gulch Convicts before this season. They have won one APL title before.

First-Time Champion Guaranteed in Battle of Vim! Series Virgins
The Acadia Acadians and Eden Meadows Anglers have something in common; neither had appeared in the Vim! Series before this season. Along with Cranberry Island, they were the only teams never to appear in the Vim! Series, including former teams in Brooke's Head and Rayburn Point, which each appeared once.
Only five teams had ever won championships in the Vim! League: Dalton Farm (4), Echo Lake (3), Grand Hotel (2), National Park (2), and Far harbor (1).
Let's add one more this season as the Anglers, winners of the Fog Division by nine games, and Acadia, winners of the Harbor Division over the previously-mentioned Hermit Crabs by two games.
In other news, there were a few records set or tied. Let's list them below:
Triples: 16 - LF Bobba Fette, Cranberry Island; Previous record: 14, 2312 - LF Bobba Fette
Walks: 70 - CF Man'oman Whurlizer, Eden Meadows; Previous record: 62, 2311 - CF Man'oman Whurlizer
Games Pitched: 45t - CL Vaug Enemy, Eden Meadows; Previous record: 45, 2308 - RP Little Rat Swickard
Games Started: 24t - SP David Pitones, Eden Meadows; Previous record: 24 - SP Matt Mill, 2308, and SP Michael Acadiaman, 2306
HR Allowed: 33 - SP Florida Texas, Dalton Farm; Previous record: 29, 2308 - SP Vrabe Swenson
In the Mount Desert Island League, the Nucleus Radchickens (Eden Meadows. Small Bertha Division) and MS Azalea Shipwrecks (Acadia, Old Longfellow Division) will play for the Mount Desert Island Series.
The Radchickens have won three championships before, while the Shipwrecks, formerly the Eagle's Cove Harpooners, have won one. The two teams went seven games in 2307 with the Radchickens winning their third straight.
