While it has been a season of ups and downs, St. Louis Browns pitcher Hooks Wiltse (13-20) had a terrific month that was rewarded with the American League Rookie of the Month award. Wiltse posted a 4-3 record with a 1.30 ERA in 62 1/3 innings of play that led to 0.9 WAR.
