Final Week Playoff Hunt in CBO
With a couple of makeup games scheduled for September 1, we are now in the final week of the CBO season.
At this time, the playoff seedings look like this:

1. x-Fort Hagen 78-46
2. z-County Crossing 77-47
3. Salem 71-52
4. The Slog 70-54
5. Lexington 69-55
6. Bunker Hill 65-59 (won series over Nahant, 3-1)

8. Nordhagen Beach 63-61
Fort Hagen has already clinched the Institute League and County Crossing has a Magic # od 2 to clinch the Brotherhood League. These two teams are just a game apart for the top seed.
The Silver Shroud will visit FHE for two more, travel to Bunker Hill for two, and then finish off with two at home against Lexington. For the Bloodbugs, they have all remaining games on the road at Salem, Nahant, and Malden Our prediction is that the Shroud gets 4 out of 6 and clinches the 1st seed with the Bugs as the #2 seed.
In the battle for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th seeds, the Witch Hats will host the Bloodbugs, travel to Easy Town, and then face off against The Slog for two; they also have a single makeup game against Cambridge. The Ghouls have three trips to the Assaultrons, Grognaks, and Hats. Lexington will host Sunshine Tidings and Nordhagen Beach before visiting the Shroud. Looking at the schedule. We have the Hats winning the most, followed by The Slog, and then Lexington, so we are predicting the order to stay the same with the Synths maybe needing to fight off the 6th seed.
In the battle for the final spot, we have Bunker Hill, Nahant, and Nordhagen Beach. The 75ers will fac Starlight, Fort Hagen, and then travel to Sunshine Tidings to finish. The Celtics have a trip to Jamaica Plain and then a homestand against County Crossing and the Party Boys. The Boys host the Grognaks before traveling to both the Synths and Celtics. In this scenario, we think that the Celtics have the best path, thus we are picking them to edge Bunker Hill for the 6th seed.

Vault 81 is already the #1 seed, and Atom is locked in as the #2 seed. Both FHE and Glowing Sea are in, so only two more spots are up for grabs. Since the Yao Guai have a four-game advantage for the 3rd seed, we will go ahead and pick them there. They will have to still fight, though! The Radscorpions have an even more secure spot with a Magic # of 1 to clinch at least the 4th seed.
In the battle for the 5th and 6th seeds, there is some excitement left in the battle of "who wants in." Oberland is the current 5th seed and has a Magic # of 5 to clinch a wildcard berth. The T-51s play home series against Diamond City and Goodneighbor before traveling to FHE. Southie, which has gone 9-1 in its last 10, will host University Point and then visit Quincy and Spectacle Island. Not only do the Deathclaws visit Southie, but they host the Red Rockets and then visit Atom for two. Egret has a trip at the Dwellers and then home series versus Roxbury and Quincy. Diamond City goes to Oberland and then hosts the Dwellers and Radscorpions. Finally, Quincy hosts the Reapers and Bres, before visiting the Ninjas.
We might take the Claws, but they have suddenly lost six straight at a crucial time where they could have locked up a spot. If the Brews can win the next two for the sweep, that would mean that Southie is in and the Claws are out. In the end, we just can't go there. We also cannot see the T-51s losing more than three, so our prediction is Oberland at 5 and University Point at 6 with the Brews unable to join Glowing Sea as expansion franchises making their first trip to the playoffs.
