Trying to find stride
The Flyers, heading through the dog days of November, have hit a rough patch currently, and face the Red Wings again at home before traveling to Chicago and hosting the Canadiens.

A tough loss for the Flyers, getting outshot by 16 as Tom Burlington was scratched, and Philly failed on four power play opportunities in a one-goal loss.

Getting shut out by the Black Hawks was something the Flyers had not experienced this year. In fact they hadn't gotten shut out at all this season to this point, a surprise for an expansion team.
11/12 (TV): PHI 4, MTL 1; Goals- MTL: Lach (14), PHI: Burlington 2 (29), Rouse (1), Bauer (16); A- 7,042
Call-up goalie from Baltimore Murray Dowey shuts down the Canadiens, only allowing a sloppy 3rd period goal. He had 43 saves on the night in what was effectively a try-out for the other 6 NHL teams.
