I didn't edit any game settings. I just don't know enough about the nuts and bolts of OOTP to be confident doing that, even though I have played the game for many, many years. Or maybe I'm too lazy to dive into it.
I think I changed the season start date to correspond to the least hot part of the Sahel year, but I don't remember.
