His replacement is Australian Tye Edlich, who signs a 5-year contract for $500k annually.

Despite letting them reach free agency, the Royals top targets in Free Agency are Brad LePointe and Mason Barnett both of whom the Royals think overreached in negotiations with the team. Stewart was so keen to resign LePointe that he went back to owner Sherman and changed the Cy Young Award winner goal to resigning LePointe.

6' 6" Julio Agurcia is an intimidating presence on the mound. He should headline a quality arsenal with an excellent circle change. He doesn't have the best stuff in the world, but he makes up for it with pinpoint control. Agurcia has the potential to develop into a #1 starter.
Santiago Cordoba, 16 year-old 2B out of Dominican Republic
Lean and athletic, Santiago Cordoba hails from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He has a chance to be an above average hitter with a loose, quick stroke that works inside the ball. He has top-of-the-scale speed. He should be able to provide above average defense as a second baseman. Cordoba has the talent to flourish as a second baseman.
