The American League Manager of the Year award was given to Boston Americans skipper Sussex Newton after he lead his team to an 82-58 record to not only pick up the AL crown, but winning the World Series via a sweep over the Brooklyn Superbas. This is Newton's 2nd career MofY award and secured his highest season score with a 1095 mark.
