Mexican Association, Federal District Association join forces, single organization to rule over baseball!
February 25, 1925 - México, Federal District - Written by Fray Nano

After months of negotiations and politics, Ernesto Carmona (pictured) and Eduardo R. Rodríguez have signed a deal to unify the two biggest baseball organizations in the country. This deal unifies the professional leagues, ran by Carmona, and the amateur and juvenile leagues ran by Rodríguez.

The Mexican Association for Baseball Enthusiasts, presided by Rodríguez, originally formed in opposition to the Federal District Association in 1922. Rodríguez was then quoted: "This new organization will foster amateur baseball through the entire country, away from the authoritative grip of Ernesto Carmona and the puppet president he imposed." However, both groups managed to set their differences aside and organize a series between both Association champions this coming March. The series will be disputed between the FDBA's Club Guanajuato and the MABE's Club Multicolor.

This unification should also allow for a new, joint league, and the consolidation of primera fuerza, segunda fuerza, tercera, cuarta, juvenile and infantile tournaments under a single umbrella. Today is a bright day for baseball, and Carmona and Rodríguez have pledged to work together in pro of baseball in the country.
