Nov. 26th 2020 - Free Agents File!
Nov. 26th
Today marks the beginning of New Major League Baseball's free agent filing period. With it comes the uncertainty of an offseason filled with the potential for blockbuster signings, off-the-wall trades and a mad scramble to improve your club before you get left out in the cold.
General managers have the entire offseason in which to sign free agents. The biggest names on this year's market include:

Not a lot for us here as well, we wont commit on one of those players for a lot of $$ in our current situation. The team that gets Martinez will get a good deal tho.
Overall, we took a deep look at our roster and identified some needs.
- Left-handed hitters, we currently have none good(1-2)
- Right-handed relief pitchers(3-4)
- Third Baseman backup
- Shortstop Backup
- Outfield Backup
- Starting Pitching Backup(1-2)
We keep sending Dave G. around to scout our minors for potential there, but we may need to fill a bunch of those slots in the offseason.
What we identified in potential trade assets: Catchers. We have a total of 5 catchers around 2.5* current ability, and with
Fitch being not movable, we will look to find some trade value in the others. With free agents filed, some players were interested in minor league contracts and we offered some, maybe we can get some of our holes filled cheaply.
