CBO-SPA Makes Financial Agreement
The CBO has announced a partnership with the Season Pass Association, comprised of the Nuka World League and the Vim! League. According to the CBO Front Office, the CBO will begin supplementing the leagues with a five-year partnership.
The SPA has had to downsize in recent years due to falling attendance. According to one anonymous team personnel on an NWL team, "Now that Boston is all fixed up, we can't attract people to anything but Nuka-World. People go to Boston to watch good baseball, not Bradberton."
There is no speculation yet if there will be any takeover, but for now, all 24 teams in the CBO will be co-sponsors of one team from each of the NWL and VL. The NWL source indicated that it seems the CBO teams would just further poach the best players.
"It will be like we're a minor league for the CBO with this partnership. Some of us working out here had better start polishing up our resumes and consider finding a CBO team to work for."
There were no direct comments from CBO Commissioner Nate Howard, NWL head Sierra Petrovita or Vim! League owner Small Bertha.

CBA Updates - January Recap
We are now approaching the trade deadline in the CBA as well as the first CBA All-Star Game in just 15 days. As of now, the NCC is the conference of no one above .500. The Salem Shadows (18-19) are currently in 1st place with Cambridge (16-18) just a half-game behind. In the SCC, Airport (25-10) has taken flight with a three-game lead over Quincy. Medford (12-24) still holds the CBA's worst record, though they have improved as of late.

Player of the Month
C Tre Davis, Boston - Davis is on his way to winning the first MVP and Rookie of the Year (since every player is a rookie). Again, Davis won the Player of the Month Award, scoring 20 or more points in all 11 games in January. His high was 50 on January 18 in a contest against the Con-Lex Bolts. His rebounding high was 23 on January 14 against Southie. In the month, Davis had 10 double-doubles.

The NEBL is definitively split into haves and have-nots with the same four teams not only maintaining their divisional leads but with huge leads to boot. The Portland Irish (26-7) have the smallest lead of 4.5 games over the Concord Colonials (21-11), while the Jamaica Plain Thunderbirds (28-4) have the largest lead at 8.5 games over the Bunker Hill Storm (20-13).
