Well

You finished fourth in a division where my team finished 3rd. It was a super tough division, My team (and I suspect the other two as well) were relegated from Diamond the previous week.

The Conference average team scored 750 runs, the three of us who finished ahead of you scored an average of over 880 runs. Your team DEFF was 17th, not good. So your defense leaked a few more runs than you would like. 20 copies of Mathewson were in the league, his ERAs ranged from 3.13 to 5.7. Your Wheeler had the worst ERA of any of the 17 copies in the league. And your Flaherty's 5.75 was the worst of 16 copies.

That's not surprising, you were using those 3 guys in League Park, which favors LH hitters quite a bit. Mathewson and Flaherty have relatively balanced cards, but Wheeler's numbers against LHB are terrible compared to his numbers against RHB. Couple that with your average defense and it's easy to see why Wheeler was so bad. I would characterize Flaherty's performance as unlucky, although his relatively poor movement rating doesn't help you any there. Mathewson I think did pretty well for you given the ball-buster schedule you faced and your park and defense not helping him much.
