Spring Training

The Royals go 16-8 during Spring Training, two games back from the White Sox. Plenty of players get time, pitchers to develop and position players to increase their flexibility. It is not expected that there will be too many tough choices on cut down day but a solid pre season was harmed with a few injuries during the Spring.

CF Esteban Medina was injured while running the bases. The Diagnosis: knee tendinitis. This is a day-to-day injury expected to last 2 weeks.

SS TJ Pompey diagnosed with a strained anterior cruciate ligament, will miss 6 weeks.

CF Esteban Medina was injured while running the bases. The Diagnosis: severe hip strain. He's expected to miss about 6 weeks.

Bob Crimi missed most of Spring Training with a concussion but will be back for the start of the season while TJ Pompey strained his ACL and will miss the first month. Neither Luis Dillard nor Esteban Medina were likely to crack the opening day roster but suffered frustrating injuries nonetheless.
