Basis for a Mexican summer baseball league

After a long meeting that lasted almost until midnight last night, the basis for the inaugural season of the Mexican Baseball League have been set, including the following points:

1. Misters Eduardo Ampudia (México), Ernesto Carmona (Agraria), Gral. Andrés Zaragoza (74 Regimiento), Agustín Verde (Águila), Jesús García (Guanajuato) and Jorge Bixler (Nacional) are the owners of the clubs.
2. Clubs shall hold elections every January 2nd, where the directors are changed, or reelected as determined by the owners.
3. Mr. Alejandro Aguilar Reyes shall be designated High Commissioner of the league.
4. The league is made up of 6 teams, with a schedule of 14 games to begin on June 28th and end on October 18th.
5. The inscription fee is 50 pesos per team and each team can designate their own official scorer.
6. If a team is unable to continue play, they have up to 48 hours to reintegrate into the league, otherwise they will be expelled.
7. Teams are subject to decisions made in assembly by the club owners.
8. Each owner has one vote on all assembly decisions.
9. The team leading the standings at the end of the season will be crowned champions.
10. In the case of a tie, the champion will be decided by a best-of-five series.
11. Games will be played at the Parque Franco Inglés and Parque Anáhuac.
12. Each team may register a maximum of 20 players.
13. The hiring of foreign players is permitted without restrictions.
14. Monthly salary will be at least 25 pesos per player.
15. Games will be played following the Official Base Ball Rules as published by the National and American Leagues of the United States.
16. Umpires shall be appointed by the league, and are the final authority on the field.
17. Games suspended by rain will be rescheduled to available dates within the calendar.
18. A maximum ticket price of 3 pesos shall be established.
19. Players involved in altercations or rule violations will be suspended depending on the severity of the incident.
20. Clubs that fail to complete their commitments without justification will be expelled from the league and forfeit their registration fees.
21. All disputes between players, teams or otherwise shall be resolved by the assembly.
22. Decisions can be overriden by the High Commissioner.

And so it begins! A new formal league will begin play on June 28th, with a game between Club México and Agraria de México.
