In my current sim, a scouting discovery won both MVP and Rookie of the Year after I traded for him. I'm in my second year with him and while he won't win MVP this year, we're in August and he's on pace for a 7.3 WAR season.
I had another sim in the past where a scouting discovery for a different team was a perennial All-Star and home run leader.
