Behind an impressive start by

Montreal, 9-2.
Sanchez, now 5-2, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 0, and allowing 2 runs. The 22-year old moved to 5-2 4.18 55K in 11 starts.
In the top of the second,
Mario Salvador delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the
Jacksonville catcher hit a 2-run single, putting the
Patriots in front, 9-2.
"It feels good to get this one,"
Salvador told the Jacksonville Daily News. Once an All-Star in 2014, the veteran is batting .297 in 17 games.
Jacksonville leads the Eastern League South East Division by 2½ games.

Brian Clinton contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 33rd hit of the season and put the

Sam Griffin pitched well against the
Jacksonville Patriots at Olympic Stadium, leading his team to a win, 6-0. The
Expos raised their record to 19-37.

Sam Griffin pitched like a boss. The 2.00 m right-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits over 7.2 innings.
"Sam gave us a huge shot in the arm," said
Montreal manager Aaron McCreery. He moved to 3-6 with an ERA of 4.03 and 37 strikeouts in 12 starts.
On the offensive side of things,
Cody Kerzner and
Jordan Chavis continued the home run surge for
Montreal with one apiece today.

The
Montreal Expos stopped the
Atlanta Minutemen, 12-3, at Olympic Stadium. The
Expos got a big game from
Vinny Roman, who went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 4.
Dan Hinton was the winner. Over 6.2 innings, he yielded 3 runs on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts. He moved to 2-0 2.36. The win has
Montreal at 20-37.
Roman went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 against the
Minutemen. In the bottom of the first inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put
Montreal in front, 1-0.
"It's nice to deliver when your team's counting on you," said
Roman. The 4x All-Star also had a nice moment in this game as he collected his career RBI #1000. He is batting .205-5-22 .601OPS in 51 games.

Atlanta second baseman
Bobby Ornelas was a significant contributor in his team's 9-4 triumph over the
Montreal Expos. He went 3-4 with 2 home runs, a double, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 3 runs and drove in 6 for the
Minutemen. The last-place
Minutemen improved to 27-31.
With
Atlanta leading 3-2 in the top of the fourth,
Ornelas hit a cutter from
Cesar Alvarado for a grand slam home run. It was his 11th home run of the season and put the
Minutemen ahead, 7-2.

Atlanta Minutemen at Olympic Stadium. The final score was 6-2.
Rush got the win, improving to 1-2. He gave up 5 hits and walked 3 over 5 innings. He allowed 2 runs.
"I executed the game plan," said
Rush. The victory puts
Montreal at 21-38.

Expos got a big at-bat from first baseman
Cody Kerzner. For the game,
