Transaction:
In a minor trade, the
Montreal Expos sent SP
Jake Burton(24, 2*, 500k) to the
San Francisco Red Devils in exchange for minor league C
Ryan Perry(23, 2.5*).
Burton was the #10 SP in our depth chart and earning money on the 40-man, and we are a bit short on catchers in the minors. Nothing to see here, move on.

Expos on top, 7-4. For the game,
Cook had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats. The late blooming designated hitter is batting .297-8-32 .819OPS in 77 games.

Montreal Expos, 3-0.
In a dominating performance,

Jeremy is a real gamer, a real competitor. He doesn't give in to anybody out there."
This season,
Walker has 4 wins and 9 losses and a 5.46 ERA and 80 strikeouts in 89 innings. However, he was a 16-game winner last season and the EL LCS MvP as well.

Trains Get Gritty, 4-3 Win
The
Montreal Expos got a sterling performance from pitcher
Sam Griffin, but the
Detroit Trains still prevailed, 4-3.
Griffin threw 7.0 innings allowing 2 runs.
Justin Mauldin was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was
John Martinez.
Nelson Cardenas got the save, his 22nd in 26 chances.
Detroit took a 4-3 lead on

Welshman hit in the bottom of the eighth, left
Montreal pitcher
John Martinez visibly frustrated.

Martinez, that dork, to blow the game.

Nationals Bridle Expos, 3-1
Washington and
Montreal duked it out and the
Nationals came out victorious.
In a low-scoring affair between the
Washington Nationals and the
Montreal Expos, pitcher
Nelson Flores was the difference between victory and defeat. The
Washington right-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-1
Nationals win. The winning pitcher was
Flores, now 3-2. He tossed 5.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 2 and fanning 3. The veteran moved to 3-2 5.40 18K in eight starts.
Pete Dimick was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 3 of 4 save opportunities.
Montreal had a runner on 2nd in the top of the eighth. With one out,
Orlando Gonzalez stood at the plate, hoping to find a gap. Instead, he flied out. The score remained 3-1,
Washington. The
Expos never could mount a comeback.
The last-place
Nationals have a record of 37-46.

Expos Trip Nationals, 6-5, in Extra Innings
Montreal beat
Washington at Nationals Park, escaping with a 6-5 win. The win in large part was due to shortstop

The winner in relief was

Expos went on to win. In postgame comments to the Montreal News, Robles said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
