Oseguera on Fire: 5-for-5 for Portland

It was a big day for Victor Oseguera(25, 4*) and he brought the Portland Bears along for the ride.

Oseguera led his club to victory, 9-4, over the Calgary Beavers at Bearsdome, smoking Calgary pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. The 25-year-old shortstop later called the victory "sweet."

singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a solo-shot off Jon Marquardt in the 5th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 7th.

So far this season, Oseguera is batting .279 with 14 home runs, 44 RBIs and 66 runs scored. The 2x All-Star has an OPS of .820 with 3.4WAR for the season.

Benefield Slams 5 Hits for Sacramento

It wasn't just another day at the ballpark for Jason Benefield(24, 2.5*). Benefield went on a tear and cracked hit after hit off San José pitchers. When the dust settled on the diamond at Cavaliers Park, he had a 5-for-5 line and a day he will long remember. And the Sacramento Cavaliers had a win, 16-2, over the Killer Whales.

"Yeah, it'll be something nice to tell the grandkids, but it won't get me a hit tomorrow," he joked in the postgame interview.

Jason Benefield doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Mike Hamey in the 7th and doubled in the 7th.

So far this year, Benefield is batting .276 with 8 home runs, 27RBIs and a OPS of .775. A Rule 5 Draftee this winter, he has amassed 0.6WAR so far.
