Expos Stop Losing Streak with 3-2 Win
In a low-scoring tilt between the
Montreal Expos and the
Toronto Blue Jays, 25-year old right-handed pitcher
Sam Rush was the difference-maker. The
Montreal right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win.
"What's not to like about a win?" said
Rush. The right-hander worked 5.2 innings of scoreless 3-hit ball today, but got a no-decision.
At 49-69, the
Expos find themselves in last place in the Eastern League North East Division.
Montreal used a well-timed hit by
Karl Ferguson to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the
Expos ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important. The 2019 EL Rookie of the Year is batting .266-13-50 .747 0.2WAR in 112 games.
