Arizona Diamondbacks third baseman Marco Lemus(23, 3*) put on a dazzling display of power at Chase Field against the Las Vegas Gamblers. In the 13-5 Diamondbacks victory, Lemus penned his name into the record books, slamming a trio of home runs in one of baseball's finest single-day efforts.

"He can hit them out anywhere, right, center, left, it doesn't matter," Las Vegas manager Josh Moore said. "He's super strong and stays on the ball so well."

Along with his three home runs, the 23-year-old had 4 hits in 5 at-bats, 8 RBIs and 3 runs scored.

"Life will always throw you curves, just keep fouling them off," Lemus said after the game, when asked about his hitting philosophy. "The right pitch will come, and when it does, be prepared to run the bases. Or trot around them, like I did today."

Marco Lemus doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Ivan Gonzales in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Antonio Tamayo in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Matt DiGilio in the 8th.

This season, Lemus has banged out 124 hits in 466 at-bats for a .266 average with 33 home runs. He is getting on base at a .343 pace and his totals also include 94 RBIs and 69 runs scored good for 3.2WAR.

In addition to that, Miguel Martinez put on a hitting clinic, lashing Las Vegas pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game.

Miguel Martinez
hit a solo-shot off Jose Mendez in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit a two-run single in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

On the season, Martinez is batting .304/.364/.569 with 32 home runs and 98 RBIs. He has played in 130 games and amassed 4.4WAR.
