Game 1: Bunker Hill 4, Salem 2
Wildcard Round Game 1 Goes to Bunker Hill, Thanks to Fugivmee
The Bunker Hill 75ers powered past the visiting Salem Witch Hats, 4-2, in the opener of the Wildcard Round at Battle of Bunker Hill Memorial Stadium. Bunker Hill right fielder Deerlord Fugivmee was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times, to lead the charge. The 75ers now lead the series 1-0.
Miko Miko drew 1 walk against the Witch Hats. With the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put Bunker Hill in front, 3-2.
"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Fugivmee told the Bunker Hill Bulletin.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Battle of Bunker Hill Memorial Stadium in Boston.
Game 2: Bunker Hill 15, Salem 11
75ers Win Wildcard Round
Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the North Charles Association Wildcard Round. It turned out quite a bit different.
The Bunker Hill 75ers swept aside the Salem Witch Hats to advance to the Association Semifinal Round, winning the final game by a 15-11 score at Battle of Bunker Hill Memorial Stadium.
The series MVP was left fielder Kasumi Goto, who hit .444 with a .444 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 5 RBI and scored 2 runs.
"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."
The Bunker Hill 75ers will play against the The Slog Ghouls in the next round. The Slog had a bye in the Wildcard Round. The Association Semifinal Round schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Round finishes.

Game 1: Fort Hagen 7, Concord 6
Colt-45, Fort Hagen Open WCR Strong with 7-6 Win
The Fort Hagen Silver Shroud got past the Concord Radstags by the score of 7-6 in the crucial first game of the Wildcard Round at Hubris Comics Park. Fort Hagen shortstop Brennan Colt-45 went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 times and drove in 2, to lead the charge. With a 1-0 lead, the Silver Shroud will have two chances to close out the Radstags.
Pawtucket, Rhode Island-born Huck McFarland came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the eighth, with the bases loaded and the Silver Shroud trailing 6-5, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Fort Hagen on top.
"Our guys are never satisfied," said Fort Hagen manager Darnell Bright.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Hubris Comics Park in Fort Hagen.
Game 2: Fort Hagen 5, Concord 4
Silver Shroud Cruise to Association Semifinal Round with Sweep
With a 5-4 win to wrap up the series at Hubris Comics Park, the Fort Hagen Silver Shroud have eliminated the Concord Radstags in the Wildcard Round and move on to the Association Semifinal Round.
Fort Hagen controlled the series from the outset and won it in a 2-0 sweep.
Huck McFarland led the charge offensively for the victors, winning series MVP honors. He posted a .625 batting average, along with a .667 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 1 runs.
"We're not done yet," the MVP said. "There is still a lot to accomplish."
The Fort Hagen Silver Shroud will play against the Lexington Synths in the next round. Lexington had a bye in the Wildcard Round. The Association Semifinal Round schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Round finishes.

Lopez, Swatters Take Dramatic Game 1 for 1-0 Series Lead
The Diamond City Swatters started the Wildcard Round in dramatic fashion, stealing Game 1 from the Atom Cats in a walk-off in the 13th inning. Diamond City took the 6-5 win thanks in large part to a good day from starter Macho Lopez. The right-hander threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball in the win, which gave the Swatters a 1-0 lead to start the best-of-3 series.
The decisive blow was delivered by Charles Towner in the bottom of the 13th when he hit a run-scoring double off 27-year old left-handed pitcher Junkyard Gourd to win the game for Diamond City. The home crowd went nuts.
"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," Diamond City manager A-Juan Rodriguez told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Great Green Jewel in Boston.
Game 2: Atom 8, Diamond City 2
Ohnaka, Cats Wallop Swatters in Game 2 of WCR
With center fielder Hondo Ohnaka leading the charge, the Atom Cats got a road win over the Diamond City Swatters, 8-2, in Game 2 of the Wildcard Round. Ohnaka went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 at The Great Green Jewel to help Atom force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-3 series.
The game was all tied up in the top of the ninth, until Ohnaka delivered big-time for Atom, stroking a dramatic 3-run home run off Mat Nielsen. The game-changing hit put the Cats on top, 5-2. Atom entered the 9th inning trailing 2-1.
Said losing manager A-Juan Rodriguez: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."
Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at Coolest Field in Town in Atom Cats Garage.
Game 3: Atom 4, Diamond City 2
Atom Takes Wildcard Round in Deciding Game
It was a rousing finish to the Wildcard Round at Coolest Field in Town today.
The Atom Cats sent the Diamond City Swatters home for the season with a 4-2 win in the decisive game of the series.
The Cats took the series 2-1. Up next on their schedule is the Association Semifinal Round.
Hauling in the MVP trophy was Atom center fielder Hondo Ohnaka. His numbers included a .417 batting average, 5 RBIs and 2 runs.
"With any luck, I'll be hoisting another one of these at the end of the Association Semifinal Round," he said.
The Atom Cats will play against the Vault 81 Dwellers in the next round. Vault 81 had a bye in the Wildcard Round. The Association Semifinal Round schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Round finishes.

Game 1: FHE 5, oberland 3
Wildcard Round Game 1 Victory for Dozen and FHE
The FHE Yao Guai powered past the visiting Oberland T-51s, 5-3, in the opener of the Wildcard Round at BosCom Circle. FHE starting pitcher Baker Dozen threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Yao Guai now lead the series 1-0.
Dozen allowed 1 run on 4 hits over 7 innings for the Yao Guai. He walked 1 and struck out 6.
"My job is to go out and execute," said Dozen.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at BosCom Circle in Fairline Hill Estates.
Game 2: Oberland 9, FHE 3
Fieterz Blasts Yao Guai, T-51s Take Game 2, 9-3
With left fielder Foo Fieterz leading the charge, the Oberland T-51s got a road win over the FHE Yao Guai, 9-3, in Game 2 of the Wildcard Round. Fieterz was 2-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 at BosCom Circle to help Oberland force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-3 series.
Fieterz had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the sixth, when he drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The T-51s went on to win.
Yao Guai manager Squirt Becker did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the Sole Survivor Series."
Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at Oberland Stadium in Oberland.
Game 3: FHE 6, Oberland 5
Yao Guai Advance to Association Semifinal Round
It went the distance, but the FHE Yao Guai finally disposed of the Oberland T-51s 6-5 in the series clincher at Oberland Stadium.
Winning the finale gave the Yao Guai the series, 2-1. They will now advance to the Association Semifinal Round.
The Most Valuable Player Award went to FHE right fielder Innis Sark. He batted .333 in the series, collecting 4 RBIs and scoring 5 runs.
"Innis deserves it," said Yao Guai manager Squirt Becker. "He was the glue that held our club together."
The FHE Yao Guai will play against the Quincy Gunners in the next round. Quincy had a bye in the Wildcard Round. The Association Semifinal Round schedule will be announced after the Wildcard Round finishes.
