It is all St. Louis in game three as Charley Hall has little early surrendering 4 runs in the first inning. Cardinal starter Joaquin Andujar would hold the lead the rest of the way going seven strong as the visiting side pulls away for a crucial win in the series.
Game 4 In Boston -
Mike Lavaliere who has become the darling hero for the Cards in the post season hits a three run home run in the 8th inning off Ray Collins to break the game wide open. John Tudor gets the win and Ken Dayley gets the save as the Cards pen continues to impress.

Boston refuses to go down quietly and pulls of a good win in game five scoring 8 times. Larry Gardner and Bill Carrigan each drive in three runs and a very young Eddie Cicotte closes out the game to send the series back to St. Louis.
Game 6 In St. Louis -
Tommy Herr clears the bases in the first inning and the Cardinals score four times off Charley Hall to set the tone in their clinching win. Joaquin Andujar pitched well with the lead once again but a tense ninth inning kept everone on edge until it was Ken Dayley again closed the series off leaving the tying run 90 feet away.
