We are at the trade deadline and now we are 6 games back. I do not know what to do. I only have 1 pending UFA, Mike Stanley, and I can't get much for him based on me shopping him. ALL of my pitchers are signed through next year, and being 1st in pitching, I could only be a seller of pitching.
Stanley is asking for almost $30 million over 9 years, which is a joke. I won't give more than 4 years and $10, so I am going to guess he'll walk, but I think I just have to play the season out with who I have. 11 of our last 51 games are against the Reds, so even though we are 6 back, we can do this. Even a 7-4 record would mean we would be 3 back with 40 to go.
I am going to trust the team I built before the season.
