Tiers 7 and 8, historically, follow roughly this geographical distribution:
This is never quite exact, due to needing to realign when new teams move in and out of each tier. This is the Platonic ideal, I guess.
Tier 7
The seventh tier of Lokasi baseball is a bit of a gatekeeper. There is much more exchange between tiers 6 and 7 than between tiers 7 and 8 (two teams per league are promoted, while only one is relegated). These teams play 120-game seasons, with 8 games against each of their 15 opponents.
The result of the relegation race in the Northeast Championship was absolutely brutal. No team in the league was really all that bad, and when the dust settled it was Worpats facing the drop with a record of 52-68 and a run differential of just -67, not that bad all things considered.
Otherwise, the Southern Championship was pretty interesting this year, due to the presences of two players way too good for this level, but still not dragging their teams to glory. The best player in all of this tier is undoubtedly
Shashki Condors 1B Peyaka Reroli. He came one HR and one RBI away from winning a tier-wide Triple Crown, had a .504 OBP, .789 SLG, and 303 OPS+ (I didn't even realize 300 was possible outside of theoretical situations).
Alun RF Toshotse Tiacheshase was nearly as good, and bested Reroli in the home run race, 49 to 48 (on a 162-game pace, that's 66-65). But, neither young stud's team was promoted this year!
