Tier 8
A surprising number of teams that were noteworthy in the original iteration of the Lokasi universe are down here in tier 8. Nise, Kilri Athletic, Pitsehaten Wolves, and Sunside were all teams that I was posting about back in 2017 (Pitsehaten was called Pithehanet in those days, as I recall).
Teams at this level play 104-game seasons, again with 8 games per opponent but in leagues of 14 teams. The relegation races in the 8th tier are watched very carefully by the slim minority who are dedicated fans of state league teams; the teams relegated from these leagues determine which state leagues will get to have promotions and which will not. This year, there were more relegations from smaller states than usual. Shunna (the capital district) is the state league that has had the fewest promotion opportunities overall, but there is one this year with Meshaf finishing last in the Prairie League.

Tier 9
I'm not planning on covering all the state leagues, but they will serve as a source for new teams to jump in and out of view. These eight teams earned promotions to tier 8 this season, by virtue of winning their state leagues and being lucky enough to have a spot open up for them:

Efiro Sharks (47-13, Efiro)
Feshuyalya Eagles (47-13, Pilentom)
Nelopute (44-16, Chastara)
Hefem Navy Blues (41-19, Emshishna)
Layaltameyo City (41-19, Holo)
Chalhila United (41-19, Rupakare)
Reyal Acorns (35-25, Ketsis Ler)
The Reyal Acorns should probably feel especially fortunate. 122 state league teams had a better record than 35-25, but none in Ketsis Ler. The top 6 teams in the 8-team league all finished within 4 games of one another.
