I tried some basic searching to see if I could figure out why he only played one minor-league season. Couldn't find anything. Could be a career-ending injury. But who knows?

Yeah, all sorts of articles when he signed but then by mid-1973, he was back as a cemetery worker (the pre-baseball family business). In 1980 made the papers again when he fell through the ice on a pond and was treated for exposure, married in 1985, and is today still living in Walpole Mass as far as I can tell - just a few towns over from where I grew up.
Brad had a longtime Pirates sim so maybe he remembers when the Pirates seemingly collected Hebners! Good memory and good player. Not in Piazza or Boyett's class, but still good.
