Hi!

For those of you that have made leagues before 1871, how did you successful create players that played before 1871 thereby not having a baseball reference stat page? How did you figure out their ratings?

For example: Guys like Doc Adams, Frank Pidgeon and Jim Creighton. What's the best way to create them? I understand because this was pre-1871 it's not going to be completely realistic but how did you create them to make it as realistic as possible? Also with teams like the New York Knickerbockers and New York Gothams?
