Previous (and currently active for the season in question) award winners are deleted and re-imported one by one in order for them to have the same numerical player ID so the award pages look like they're supposed to. It needs to be done that way because, as far as I can tell, there's no way to repopulate the aforementioned pages. And you may also have to purge the database before getting to that point, but if it works like it should, there normally aren't issues, but you definitely want a copy of your league before doing so just in case. After that, if you have an importable roster file ready to go, you can remove the ones already re-imported and do a mass import of everyone else without any problems. You have to take a few minutes before that, though, so you can get the team ID number and copy/paste it where it needs to go. After that's done, if you're a stickler for perfection, you could then export the database files to CSV and use the sort function and a basic formula to see if there are any duplicates after reimporting that need to be deleted. Sometimes that happens, usually with players whose final MLB game was a few years earlier but are still at it in AAA or something.
