Order restored...
The Rays got even in the ALCS with Detroit thanks to another fine start from
Jeffrey Springs and a big 3-run homer from former Tiger
Parker Meadows. Springs dominated for the second straight postseason start and continued his brilliant late-season run while Meadows rescued an inning that was slipping away as thanks to a Detroit error Tampa Bay had men on 2nd and 3rd with nobody out in the 4th with a chance to break it open. But Williams and Kjerstad struck out, leaving it up to Meadows who drilled a 3-run homer into the RF bleachers and that was the ballgame.
Josh Lowe was also in the middle of everything, going 2-4 with 3 steals and 3 runs scored, stealing second and later coming home in both the first and the third.
Shane McClanahan will try to continue his own dominating season in Game 3 in Detroit 48 hours from now, looking to put the Rays in the series lead.
