Forging ahead...
It had been a quiet postseason so far for
Christopher Morel, but that changed in a big way tonight as he led the Rays to a 5-3 win and a 2-1 series lead over the Tigers at Comerica Park. The righty-swinging OF, who had a 30-30 regular season, tripled and scored in the first, ripped a 2-run double to tie the game in the 5th and then brought home the go-ahead run in the 7th on a popup misplayed by the Detroit infield for a single. Meanwhile it looked like it'd be a short night for
Taj Bradley as he was hit for 3 runs in the first 2 innings, continuing his bad run of form over the last couple of months, but he settled in and finished with 4 scoreless innings afterwards to pick up the win, and the bullpen held from there. So it'll be
Shane McClanahan tomorrow (I misspoke in the previous post) to try to give us a commanding 3-1 series lead.
