Montreal Expos, 8-3.

Swanson Moves to 10-0 as Eagles Sweep Expos
Cincinnati got a first-rate effort from pitcher
Matt Swanson, who frustrated
Montreal hitters en route to a 2-0
Eagles triumph at Eagles Stadium. With the win,
Cincinnati pushed its record to 35-24.
Swanson, a native of Woonsocket, Rhode Island, was dealing all game. He kept
Montreal hitters off-balance, while giving the
Eagles 7.1 quality innings.
Swanson threw 101 pitches, allowing 3 hits and striking out 6.
"I found a nice groove out there," said
Swanson. He improved to 10-0 2.38 53K 1.1WAR in 12 starts, leading the EL in Wins and quality starts(11).

Kings Get Riveting Walk-Off Win in 14
The fans at PMC Park witnessed quite a game.
The
Pittsburgh Kings overcame a big game from
Montreal first baseman
Dave Grochowski to pick up a win at PMC Park. The final score was 7-6,
Pittsburgh, in 14 innings.
Grochowski was 2-3 with a home run, a double, and 3 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winner was
Pittsburgh reliever
Daniel Gonzalez, now 2-0. The loser was
Glen McKeen.
The decisive blow was delivered by
Alex Elizalde in the bottom of the 14th when he hit a run-scoring double off 23-year old left-handed pitcher
John Mannino to win the game for
Pittsburgh. The home crowd went nuts.
"This place went bonkers at the end,"
Elizalde said. The 2020 EL Wildcard Series MvP is batting 318-4-11 1.444OPS 0.7WAR in 5 games.
This loss makes it 6 in a row for
Montreal.
