CBA Analysis
The new year is here, and the CBA's second season is now in full swing. We are now about one-third of the way through the 2314-2315 season, and there is one team that is a rung above the other seven teams. That team is the one with the Boston namesake, the Bugles (19-6).
In the Northern Commonwealth, Medford (14-10) and Salem (15-12) are battling for 1st place, while Cambridge is two back (10-10) and Con-Lex (9-16) trails by 5.5. In the Southern Commonwealth, Airport is four back of the Bugles at 14-9, with Quincy (8-14) and Southie (7-19) are both hoping to get back into the wildcard discussion later this season.
The players of the month may be repetitive throughout the season. The top player was Boston's C Tre Davis, while Cambridge rookie Sniper Armstrong was the top rookie.
Looking at the League Leaders, Quincy's Reggie Pacer continues to lead the league in scoring average (33.0) with Davis (29.8) catching up to him. Other categorical leaders are Vee Tsankov (10.2 APG), DA Forte (14.0 RPG and 2.7 BPG), and Jeryl Newman (3.2 SPG).
In the NEBA, a month plus into the season has teams having played 17 games apiece. Divisional leaders are the Portsmouth Hoops (12-5) in the North, Jamaica Plain Thunderbirds (14-3) in the Downtown, Nuka World Wheelz (16-1) in the West, and a tie at 12-5 between the Brockton Spartans and Sandwich Royals in the South. Topper Robinson of the Wheelz is the early leader in PPG (28.9).
CBO Analysis
With the calendar change to 2315, the CBO is now beginning its planning for the new season. Of course, the annual Nuka Cup Tournament is the beginning to the season.
This season, hosts are The Slog, Quincy, Vault 81, and Fort Hagen with winners from the Ghouls' Regional and Dwellers Regional matching up in the semifinals, while the winners of the other two regionals will also meet.
The Play-in Round begins on February 27 with the usual setup of teams finishing in their ranked order making up where they are sent in the Play-in Round.
