Just thought of another thing to try: on the start screen, go to Settings, then "Misc". Change the "Custom Data Path" line to a different location. That'll change your data location to a different place on the drive, preferably a path with a very simple name (ideally, nothing but letters and/or numbers in the name, and no non-English characters); if something odd is interfering with your ability to create/save files in the existing place, that may fix it. Restart after doing that and try again.
