Grizzlies Top Expos, 2-0, Behind Dittus

Jessie Dittus, who finished 3rd in the EL in saves with 37 in 2018, had a strong outing for the Philadelphia Grizzlies against the Montreal Expos at Olympic Stadium. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 2-0 win. The win elevated the Grizzlies to 43-37.

Dittus was in the zone, shutting down Montreal hitters over 6.1 innings. Dittus, who threw 95 pitches, allowed no runs on 2 hits. He also tallied 7 punchouts.

Grizzlies Absorb 4-1 Loss at Olympic Stadium

Montreal turned a good performance from starting pitcher Juan Miranda into a 4-1 triumph over the Philadelphia Grizzlies at Olympic Stadium. The rookie worked 7 innings of 2-hit and 1-run ball in the win. Kevin Cowden was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 17 of 20 save opportunities. The Expos go to 32-49 with the win.

Tim McKusick helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 3-0, Expos. Having made his NMLB debut in 2018 for those exact Philadelphia Grizzlies, it was a bittersweet moment for him to get his first hit of 2022 against the team that drafted him.

Murrietta Spins Shutout Against Mets

Marty Murrietta of the Montreal Expos was on top of his game.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Abel Lemke? The New York center fielder had a 2-run single in the top of the second inning to put the Mets on top, 2-0. For the game, Lemke had 1 double and 1 single in 6 at-bats.
