The Western Reserve Baseball Association (WRBA)

The WRBA is an old league of mine, created from cities/towns I've spent most of my life around. In my fictional league, I've elevated these locations to imagined larger urban areas but attempted to keep the "small town" feel of old-time baseball popularized by Robert Coover in his "Universal Baseball Association" novel.

The Lakeshore Baseball League started in 1901, and the Cuyahoga Valley Baseball League followed in 1911 - both leagues combining to form the Western Reserve Baseball Association, complete with a Championship Series for the Regional Trophy.

I thought I would share the league's history until the stories meet up with my current season (1925) and then transition into weekly reporting of the ongoing season.

Since I'm a storyteller at heart, I've incorporated my graphics capabilities and imagination into my reports. I hope you find them as interesting as I have playing out the WRBA.
