The bats woke up at last and as a result the Rays are marching on to the ALCS to face the White Sox after an 8-2 Game 5 rout of the Mariners. That sound you heard was a collective sigh of relief from the entire Tampa Bay area after
Hector Gurrola's 2-run double in the 6th led to a 5-run inning which broke the game and the series wide open.
Dakota Stone had to leave early with back stiffness (which won't keep him from taking his next turn) and
Benjamin Buckman came through heroically with 5 scoreless 2-hit innings of relief. We'll see
