I was going to ask "Why, after that performance? He looked better than some of the other RPs on the squad" until I read about his ERA and WHIP in AAA.

He also did his (admittedly fine) work against one of the worst offenses in the league.
The 6.97 ERA is across just 10.1 innings in '25. Last year for AAA Worcester, he had a 4.91 ERA as a swingman with 15 starts. Somehow he didn't even pitch a hundred innings and still gave up 21 bombs.
Unless the Mets end up in another pinch (and hey, it's the Mets...), I don't think he'll see the majors again.
