So, it's a choice between Disney World and Knoxville.
I concur. Back to the Southern League...
Covenant Health Park, home of the Knoxville Smokies
Opening...um...this past Monday, Covenant Health Park marks the return of the Smokies to the city of Knoxville after spending the previous 25 seasons playing at Smokies Stadium (aka Smokies Park) in suburban Kodak.
The park, which will also be the home of the One Knoxville Soccer Club, is conceived as a year-round facility, with the concourse open from dawn until dusk for use as a walking and jogging path when other events are not going on. A 114-unit apartment building ("Yardley Flats") was also built along the left field concourse, and a luxury condominium building ("The Beaumont Delaney Building") was built in right field as a part of the development.
The scoreboard in right field is (if I remember rightly) the largest in Minor League Baseball and is shaped like the state of Tennessee, which certainly presented some interesting challenges with the way OOTP handles live scoreboards

. The water tower in the right field corner of the concourse is a nod to the Old City water tower, which had stood on the site where the park is now, and was considered a local landmark.
Note that the skyline is not what you would actually see from the park, but there was no way I wasn't going to include the Wig Sph...I mean the Sun Sphere. Just watch where you park!
