Going back to your original question, Acuna is not lying. I don't know what the thought process is behind the whole thing (and we're six years removed from the particular instance getting singled out in all the articles), but the Barves knew back then that they were dealing with a top talent and a perpetual All Star. Maybe removing him from a game in the third inning for showboating can fix him, and then he won't be a nuisance for the next 15 years? (In any case, didn't work out so well)

Regardless, one should never air out their personal grievances with their direct manager on social media for everyone to see. That needs to be sorted out internally rather than fanning the flames and making it all about yourself when the team is entirely busy and occupied with trying to climb out of the crater left by an 0-7 start... you've been cross with Snitker for your entire career, we get it. When you publicly embarrass & strip the dignity of someone, you don't get to have yourself corrected privately.

This is another example of how the biased treatment of people from a specific background is excused as anything but what it is. This isn't about whether Acuna should have been benched. It isn't about whether Kelenic is worth bothering over. It is about Snitcker's failure to administer discipline in a fair manner and whether he is capable & trustworthy enough to lead in a non-discriminatory fashion.
