#12 for Griffin as Aeros Suffer 5-3 Home Defeat
Montreal registered a win at Fenway Park by beating the
Boston Aeros, 5-3. Pitcher
Sam Griffin was one reason why the
Expos triumphed. The second-place Aeros dropped to 64-57.
Montreal used a clutch at-bat from
Kevin Craddock to capture the win. The catcher hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the
Expos ahead, 3-1. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said
Craddock. "And not try to do too much." The backup catcher is batting .208-3-21 .575OPS -0.1WAR in 62 games.

Expos Takes Series with Close 4-2 Win
The
Montreal Expos knocked off the
Boston Aeros, 4-2, in Eastern League action at Fenway Park.
Montreal pitcher and Boyden, Iowa, native
Juan Miranda had an outstanding performance. The winning pitcher was
Miranda, now 8-9. He tossed 5.2 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 8.

Miranda. "When you don't execute, you get beat. When you execute, you usually give your team a chance to win."
Adam Rudolph earned the save, his 12th in 13 tries.
Gabriel Cervantes aided the

A home stand with a team that swept us the last time we met, and the division leaders. This will be fun. Another fun fact, the
Kansas City Royals returned Rule 5 draftee 2B
Joe Hawk(24, 2.5*) to us after he hit .265-13-53 .752OPS 1.4WAR in 104 games for them… he could actually be an alternative to
Tim McKusick(.190-5-23 .600OPS -0.6WAR 34G).
