The defending World Series champion New York Yankees and defending National League champion St. Louis Cardinals are the favorites to reach the Fall Classic once again. But in baseball, the top seeds don't always make it. In the American League, Minnesota, Baltimore and Seattle are all formidable contenders. Even Texas and Seattle have an outside shot at making a run. In the National League, Colorado will be the top challenger to St. Louis - the Rockies were close last year, falling to the Cardinals in seven games in the NLCS. Atlanta, NY Mets, Miami and the Chi Cubs can be dangerous too.
