MLB news: Sept. 10 -- Braves clinch National League East title
With a 5-2 win over the Chicago Cubs, the Atlanta Braves have clinched the National League East Division title.
With a 93-52 record, the Braves own a 19.5-game lead over the New York Mets with 17 games left in the season.
Atlanta also seems well on its way to the top seed in the NL playoffs, owning a 6.5-game advantage over the Chicago Cubs who sit atop the NL Central Division.
