Grueling Sanctions for Blue Jays Revealed!
stadiumreport.bbn March 1st, 2012
The moment every
Blue Jays has dreaded, has come, and it is not pretty, but it is not the end of the franchise. Due to blatantly obvious breaches of MLB rules of trade and violation of MLB contract law and national contract law in Canada and the USA, the front office of the
Toronto Blue Jays get a lifetime ban on baseball from now on, and that is not the only sanction imposed on the
Toronto Blue Jays by MLB and the MLB Players Association.
#1 From Opening Day 2012, March 29th, the
Toronto Blue Jays receive an UNLIMITED BAN on trade activities. They are not allowed to acquire assets via trading away players in any way, shape or form.
#2 From Opening Day 2012, March 29th, the
Toronto Blue Jays receive an UNLIMITED BAN on signing free agents to major league contracts.
#3 From Opening Day 2012, March 29th, the
Toronto Blue Jays receive an UNLIMITED BAN on signing players that are 24 years or older on minor league contracts.

Toronto Blue Jays may only acquire players on a minor league deal that are 23 or younger via the Rule 5 draft.
#5 From Opening Day 2012, March 29th, the
Toronto Blue Jays receive an UNLIMITED BAN on acquiring players through waivers.
#6 Every player currently on the
Toronto Blue Jays 40-man roster has the right to force a trade or a contract release from today until the 29th of March, and the new front office has to trade or release the player before opening day. In order to make this possible, MLB will cover the salaries of the players.
#7 In order to fill out the MLB roster, the
Toronto Blue Jays may acquire any free agent still out in the market until March 29th. MLB will pay one year of salary for those players plus 50% bonus for any player willing to sign with the team.
#8 Free agents that are willing to sign with the
Toronto Blue Jays on a minor league contract will receive a bonus depending on their value. This bonus will be decided by an MLB arbitrator, and the Bonus will be signed by MLB. This only applies until March 29th.
#9 The
Toronto Blue Jays are still eligible to add players via the First Year Player Draft and sign international amateur free agents.
#10 In a settlement between the
Toronto Blue Jays, MLB and the MLB Players Association in combination with the Supreme Court, the
Toronto Blue Jays receive the right to have first priority on any international scouting discovery by all other MLB teams, and are allowed to sign those players despite another team making the find.
This means, that the
Toronto Blue Jays will not get relocated or contracted, but may allow to continue in Major League Baseball… but… the rules of the game has changed, and new General Manager K.C. Martin, an outsider with no previous experience in Baseball, now has to guide this team through uncharted waters…
Already,
Toronto Blue Jays' stars like
Jose Bautista,
Edwin Encarnacion,
Darren Oliver,
Brett Lawrie,
Casey Janssen and dozen others have sent in their wish to be traded away from the team.
