How Much Does the Batted Ball Profile Matter as a GM?

Playing as a GM and simming through seasons, how much does the batted ball profile impact outcomes (especially in the playoffs). For example, if I have multiple right handed hitters with a ground ball profile of Pull or Extreme Pull, does that make those players more susceptible to a loss of production against teams with managers that do a lot of shifting and/or a good defensive shortstop and third baseman? Does a left handed hitter whose fly ball profile is pull or extreme pull have an advantage if the other team has a weak fielding right fielder? Or are the effects of a player’s batted ball profile negligible to BABIP and pitching matchup? Or is it only a factor if you’re managing games and not simulating?

Thanks!
