Expos Need Eleven Innings to Win, 2-1
Starting pitcher
Juan Miranda gave the
Montreal Expos a rock-solid performance, helping them defeat the
New York Mets, 2-1, in 11 innings. He worked seven scoreless innings of 4-hit, 1BB and 6K ball, but lost the win when

The decisive blow was delivered by
Tim McKusick in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a run-scoring double off 26-year old right-handed pitcher
Brian Sirianni to win the game for
Montreal. The home crowd went nuts.
"We did just enough to win,"
McKusick said. The 28-year old is batting .207-5-31 .615OPS -0.6WAR in 48 games.
