Montreal parlayed a decent outing from starter Juan Miranda into a solid win over the Oakland Oaks. The final score was 3-2. With the win, Montreal has a record of 73-74. Oakland falls to 71-77.

"I was able to really locate my pitches tonight," said Miranda. He worked seven innings of 8-hit and 1-run ball, walking none and striking out six.

A good performance from designated hitter Joe Hawk helped the Montreal Expos defeat the Oakland Oaks, 10-7. Hawk was 3 for 4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs for the Expos.
