The Philadelphia Grizzlies topped the Montreal Expos, 10-1, in Eastern League action at Olympic Stadium. The standout performance belonged to Philadelphia pitcher and San Carlos, Venezuela, native Ruben Torrez. Torrez yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. Expos Season Ends on High Node As They Snag Win, 3-2

Montreal turned a fine outing from starter Juan Miranda into a victory over the Philadelphia Grizzlies at Olympic Stadium. The righty worked 7.1 innings of 4-hit and 1-run ball. The final score was 3-2. Adam Rudolph earned his 22nd save in 25 chances. The setback makes Philadelphia 87-75.

Montreal took a 3-1 lead on Gabriel Cervantes's 12th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Cervantes hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Philadelphia pitcher Alberto Cordoba visibly frustrated.
