Well then.
The day after posting this, my laptop finally went kaput, at least at the functional level. Among the slow downs, I think my graphics card died because OOTP and other games I tried instacrashed.
I went ahead and saved files to an external hard drive, but something may have been awry.
As of today, I have bought a PC, the first tower I have had in many years. As a constantly traveling person (and a person who lived on another continent for over a decade), I figured a gaming laptop was my best purchase. Well, they are way out of my price range, unless I want to play games only made before 2020.
So, here I am. I came to the immediate realization, though, that I had to purchase OOTP 26 at full price since OOTP 25 is not available for purchase. Since I bought it directly from OOTP, it is just not an option. Damn. 25 was the one to buy on Steam! Oh well.
Loaded it up and my league is loaded and converted from 25. Yay! However, it reverted back a week. Therefore, what I posted as the May 1, 2315, post never happened on my new iteration of the CBO. No problem, though. I will pretend it did.
I have no idea if I am going to get the basketball game back. I think I will go ahead and download it and see if I can use a new license or email Gary Gorski if I cannot. If not, I'll maybe try to log in to my old laptop again, let it creep through the Finals, report on that, and then kill the basketball league.
Anyway, I am now simming the CBO up until May 3 to write a report about the first month of the season.
