2026 Top Prospects
#14 - 17yo LHP Robert Estrada out of the Dominican Republic. Robert is a pleasant surprise and could potentially be a diamond in the rough as our scout found him on a trip in early December or 2025. Right now he grades out to be potentially a future ace although right now extremely raw. He has nasty stuff and worst case scenario ends up as a closer and a dominant one for a decade plus.
#27 - 17yo 3B Anton Barros the major signing of our 2026 IFA period. His hit and power tools will be the reason he makes it to the MLB, although his defense at 3B looks to be at a plus level with room to grow considering he’s only 17. He works hard and has a good baseball IQ and if he can stay focused he can be an All-Star at 3B for many years and walk away with multiple Silver Slugger awards.
#34 - 21yo LHP Ben Jacobs last years number 6 pick saw action at A+ but didn’t do well and will begin the 2026 campaign back at A+. His stock has dropped some even though the individual pitches all still looked good with a 4 pitch mix and none graded worse than plus. As of now he looks like a solid 3/4 starter.
#37 - 19yo 2B Konnor Griffin probably the best prospect in the Pirate organization. Still boasts the potential to be a 5 tool player although is showing signs of swing and miss in his game. Made it to low A last season but a bit overwhelmed and didn’t even hit .200 so it’s back to A ball and this will be his first year of full season ball.
#61 - 19yo RHP Myles Upchurch last years 2nd round pick, 50th overall. Didn’t see any action and will have his first taste of pro ball this year at the FCL. Hopefully he can improve mightily as right now he’s projected to be a number 5 starter/bullpen option. All three of his offerings grade above average but overall he’s nothing spectacular but is still extremely young and will be just 19 the entire season.
