Thank you for doing this. I have been working on storylines with varying degrees of success.
I would like to share a couple of ideas and then I have some questions. Don't know if you have the answers.
I am very interested in using storylines to enliven contract situations.
I forgot the various personality types. I know there are nine of them.
Storylines for players that are in the last year of their contract. A news story leaks out that they are unhappy they haven't received an extension yet. Then the storyline checks in a month or two months later. If they have a new contract their morale goes up (maybe a talent boost or individual attribute boost as well) and if they don't have a new contract then the opposite thing happens morale goes down and/or team chemistry and individual talent or attribute.
A storyline involving selfish personality types after a long term deal is signed. A news leak comes out that the player doesn't look like they are quite in the same shape accompanied by morale/talent/individual attribute drop.
This one is done during the offseason or at the beginning of free agency. There is a check on home runs or wins or something. A player who has really good stats gets a huge greed boost. An opposite version can be an older player who is still good, but wants to just win one more time so his greed goes down and his play for winner goes up.
My questions are do you know what it means when morale is modified to go up or down -1,2,3 etc same thing with talent level. And what are the biggest numbers we can use to modify? Can we do morale +50 or increase a players contact by +50?
One of my goals is to have a new storyline be activated every day. I increase the frequency to the ones I like to 10000 and tell the xml that it can be recurring with no interval to wait. I think this works if storylines mainly involve contract disputes and things that happen during hot streaks and cold streaks and removing the other storylines like Indian guru etc.
